In fact, most account requests can be completed online by participants, including:

• Investment exchanges and qualified withdrawals
• Automated contributions from a bank account
• Change of address and other indicative data
• Receipt of account statements, confirmations, and 1099-Q reporting
• Payroll deduction instructions
• Change of beneficiary

Well over half of all direct plan account owners have enrolled online and over 39% have opted-in for e-delivery of statements and communications. With over 2.5 million accounts under administration for almost 1.4 million account owners, online participation has a significant impact on costs and the environment (as of 6/30/11).
